Sistema Fire Protection Plus 400

r

riscaldare le abitazioni, il risparmio energetico derivato

dall’involucro edilizio altamente performante e l

a

bioedilizia, oggi sono temi Importantissimi. Queste linee

a

coibentazione termica e/o acustica

.

i

i

o tetti in materiale combustibile.

temperature sulle pareti combustibili a contatto, e sarebb

e

utilizzato in condizioni differenti da quelle certi

ficate.

La EN 1859 del 2009 prevede, infatti, solamente spessor

i

di attraversamento di 100 o 200 mm

.

i

resistenza all’incendio di fuliggine 1.000°C per 30 minuti)

,

i

,

parzialmente chiuso e totalmente chiuso.

Fire Protection Plus 400 è adatto per attraversare tetti

o

solai con materiale combustibile

fino a 400 mm di spessor

e

direttamente a contatto del legno (G00 con attraversament

o

completamente chiuso e nessuna ventilazione

.

Fire Protection Plus 400 system

The need to reduce fuel consumption to heat homes,

energy savings derived from the highly performing building

envelope and green building are very important topics

today. These design guidelines have pushed the building

market towards an increasing use of materials such as

wood for structural components and synthetic or natural

insulators for thermal and/or acoustic insulation.

In recent years, wood has been rediscovered as a noble

and ancient building material and increasingly valued for it

s

characteristics of resistance, ease of processing, flexibility

and durability Roofs, attics and walls made with this

material are increasingly appreciated for their performance

characteristics, living comfort and environmental

sustainability. This trend forces designers to review some

construction habits according to the risk deriving from the

sensitivity to heat typical of wood combustible materials

do not go well with the high temperatures deriving from

a

wood fire.

The crossing of combustible materials by the flue systems

causes a safety or risk assessment problem, especiall

y

with the high operating temperatures of the fume disposal

systems, during the operation of stoves and fireplaces or in

the event of a fire from soot.

The soot fire is typical of natural solid biofuels, linked to the

concept of green building, and is an event that is foresee

n

in the certification tests of flue systems If the flue system

is well designed and of high quality, it is perfectly capabl

e

of withstanding a soot fire without losing its structural

characteristics.

The real problem is to adequately protect the wood that

surrounds the flue system when crossing attics or roofs

made of combustible material. To complicate matters, it

has been demonstrated that, with the same temperatur

e

of the flue system, increasing the thickness of the

floor

crossed considerably increases the contact temperature

s

that accumulate.

This means that a normal roof passage, certified fo

r

maximum 200 mm attics, if used in a 400 mm attic would

lead to a dangerous rise in temperatures on the combustible

walls in contact and would be used in conditions other

than those certified. In fact, EN 1859 of 2009 requires onl

y

crossing thicknesses of 100 or 200 mm.

For this reason, the new European standard EN 13216 1 of

2019 provides that the thermal test (long term) and soot fire

resistance test 1,000°C for 30 minutes), can be performed

with different types of test structure for combustible walls

and floors (up to 1 m thick) and different types of closure of

the crossing open, partially closed and totally closed.

Fire Protection Plus 400 system is suitable for crossing

roofs or attics with combustible material up to

400 mm thickness directly in contact with wood (G00 with

completely closed penetration and no ventilation.
