The XSize collection was designed specifically for
outdoor use, although all items in the collection are
also suitable for use indoors. The particularity of
this collection lies in the stunning layouts and design
features that can be created in any space, thanks to
the characteristic shading of each single element and
to the possibility of using the two formats together,
thus obtaining varied surface textures.
The thickness of 20 mm and the technology used to
produce porcelain stoneware also guarantee a very
high technical performance and excellence resistance
to breaking loads, especially for driveways.
XSize wurde als Kollektion für Außenbereiche
konzipiert, aber alle Artikel der Kollektion sind
gleichermaßen auch für den Innenbereich geeignet.
Die Besonderheit dieser Kollektion besteht darin,
Kreativität und Design in jeder Umgebung zu fördern,
dank der charakteristischen Farbschattierungen
jedes Elements und der Zusammenstellbarkeit der
beiden Formate, wodurch ganz unterschiedliche
Verlegetexturen geschaffen werden.
Die 20 mm starken Platten und die technischen
Eigenschaften von Feinsteinzeug gewährleisten
zudem eine hohe technische Leistungsfähigkeit und
eine ausgezeichnete Bruchfestigkeit, insbesondere in
Bereichen, die befahren werden sollen.

collection outdoor, mais tous les articles de la
collection sont également adaptés à une utilisation en
indoor. La particularité de cette collection consiste en
effet à exalter la créativité et la conceptualisation dans
tout espace grâce à la stonalisation caractéristique
de chaque élément et à la compatibilité des deux
formats qui sont en mesure de créer diverses textures
de pose.
L’épaisseur de 20 mm et la technologie du grès
cérame garantissent en outre de hautes performances
techniques et une résistance optimale aux charges
de rupture surtout dans les zones où la carrossabilité
est requise.
RECOMMENDATIONS FOR LAYING.
Before laying the tiles, assemble a good selection
of XSize tiles by taking them from several boxes.
We recommend laying with adhesive, either in the
traditional manner or with a double layer of adhesive,
especially for walkways, garage floors, ramps or
driveways. The gap is of fundamental importance
for the finished appearance of the product: Mirage
generally recommends a minimum gap of 4 mm. Wider
gaps up to a maximum of 8/10 mm are suggested if a
more “natural” effect, typical of real stone is desired.
The colour of the grout used also plays a decisive
role. Mirage recommends a coarse grout in greyish
tones for use outdoors, while a tone-on-tone grout
creates more atmosphere indoors.
EINIGE VERLEGETIPPS.
Vor der Verlegung die XSize-Platten gut vermischen
und aus mehreren Kartons entnehmen. Die Verlegung
mit Kleber, entweder auf herkömmliche Weise oder
mit doppelter Kleberschicht, eignet sich besonders für
Gartenwege, Garagen, Auffahrten und andere befahrbare
Bereiche. Die Fuge spielt eine wichtige Rolle bei der
Bestimmung des endgültigen Erscheinungsbilds des
Produkts: Mirage empfiehlt generell eine Mindestfuge
von 4 mm. Breitere Fugen bis maximal 8/10 mm werden
empfohlen, wenn Sie einen „natürlichen“ Effekt erzielen
wollen, wie er für Natursteine typisch ist.
Auch die Farbe der Fugenmasse spielt eine
entscheidende Rolle: Mirage empfiehlt grobkörnige
Fugenmörtel in Grautönen für die Verlegung in
Außenbereichen, während ein farblich zu den Platten
passender Fugenmörtel in Innenbereichen eine
behaglichere Wirkung erzielt.
QUELQUES CONSEILS DE POSE.
Avant d’effectuer la pose, bien mélanger les plaques
XSize en les prélevant dans plusieurs boîtes. La pose
encollée, traditionnelle ou à double encollage, est
particulièrement indiquée pour les allées, garages,
rampes ou toute surface carrossable. Le joint joue
un rôle important pour définir le rendu esthétique
final du produit : Mirage conseille généralement un
joint minimum de 4 mm. Les joints plus larges jusqu’à
un maximum de 8/10 mm sont conseillés si l’on veut
obtenir un effet plus “nature”, typique de la pierre.
La couleur du mastic joue également un rôle
déterminant : Mirage conseille des mastics à gros
grain en dégradé de gris dans les poses outdoor,
tandis qu’un mastic de couleur assortie apporte un
effet plus ambient dans les intérieurs.

ALCUNI CONSIGLI DI POSA.
XSize è stata progettata e nasce come collezione
outdoor, ma tutti gli articoli della collezione sono
idonei anche per un utilizzo in indoor. La particolarità
di questa collezione è infatti quella di esaltare
creatività e progettualità in qualsiasi ambiente grazie
alla caratteristica stonalizzazione di ogni singolo
elemento e all’abbinabilità dei due formati che sono
in grado di creare svariate texture di posa .
Lo spessore 20 mm e la tecnologia del gres
porcellanato garantiscono inoltre elevate
performance tecniche e un’ottima resistenza ai
carichi di rottura soprattutto in aree in cui viene
richiesta la carrabilità.
Prima di procedere alla posa, miscelare bene le
piastrelle XSize prelevandole da più scatole. La posa
incollata, tradizionale o con doppia spalmatura, è
particolarmente indicata per viali, garage, rampe o
qualsiasi area carrabile . La fuga ha un ruolo importante
per delineare la resa estetica finale del prodotto:
Mirage consiglia in genere una fuga minima di 4 mm.
Fughe più larghe fino ad un massimo di 8/10 mm sono
suggerite se si vuole ottenere un effetto più “nature”
tipico della pietra .
Anche il colore dello stucco ha un ruolo determinante:
Mirage consiglia stucchi a grana grossa in cadenza di
grigio nelle pose outdoor, mentre lo stucco in tinta dona un
effetto più ambient negli interni.
